I never comment but I'd just like to say how much I appreciate this blog.
I'm an econ student at university in the UK and this blog provides somewhat of an insight into market fundamentalist thinking which is increasingly rare in our universities and public debates - perhaps especially so in my country.
Thank you for this, I will no doubt continue to read.
Congrats and Happy New Year to Grumpy and family. Please continue blogging, especially on econ matters, and especially on public finance issues. As Paul says, it is desperately needed.
I have learned a lot from your thoughtful posts since I began my Ph.D study. Many thanks to you. Look forward to reading more next year! I hope you and your family will have a nice New Year's celebration!
I too really like this blog. As a non-economist, I can't follow everything, so I appreciate the effort you make to explain matters. Keep up the good work!
Comments are welcome. Keep it short, polite, and on topic.
Thanks to a few abusers I am now moderating comments. I welcome thoughtful disagreement. I will block comments with insulting or abusive language. I'm also blocking totally inane comments. Try to make some sense. I am much more likely to allow critical comments if you have the honesty and courage to use your real name.
You too and congrats on 10 million.
